The American College of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Physicians as well as the American Society of Aesthetic/ Cosmetic Physicians was formed due to the increasing demand and growth of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. It is the goal of this organization to provide the most comprehensive information to physicians and allied healthcare professionals. This organization and society will benefit physicians such as Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, Family Physicians, OB/GYNs, Nurses and all other specialties practicing or interested in pursuing the field of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. No specialty currently offers formal residency training in aesthetic procedures with the exception of some electives in dermatology or plastic surgery. In today’s modern medicine, advanced technology is rapidly progressing which can clearly be seen with the use of lasers. Patients can now receive quick, non-invasive procedures with little risk or downtime (as compared to the surgical procedures that used to require a hospital operating room and general anesthesia). Most physicians get trained by CME (continuing medical education) courses or seminars which can vary in content, cost, and practicality. We are dedicated to the advancement of aesthetic and cosmetic medicine as well as the safety for patients and the ethical conduct of physicians and other healthcare providers. As you will discover by navigating and browsing within this official premiere website, The American College of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Physicians sets the standard of uniformity and basic fundamentals in the field of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine within the United States and all U.S. territories. |
